Zusammenfassung:	A new form (I) of powdered mannitol has an average diameter of 60-200 (preferably 80-180) mu m, a packed density (measured by Test A given in the specification) of 0.65-0.85 (preferably 0.7-0.8) g/ml and a flow rating of at least 60 (preferably 60-90). An Independent claim is included for the preparation of (I), by wet-granulation of powdered mannitol using a binder (preferably in a continuous mixer-granulator) followed by maturing the product by drying.
