Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a system for monitoring the presence of a user relative to an electronic device, and related methods and computer-implemented software. The electronic device includes at least one acoustic transducer configured to operate within an ultrasound range, the at least one acoustic transducer configured to detect a presence of a user within a predetermined range from the device, where the system is configured to: upon detecting the user, operate the at least one acoustic transducer within a predetermined range from the device; the at least one transducer is turned off for a predetermined first period of time, at the end of which the acoustic transducer is activated for detecting the presence of the user.
