Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a process for preparing a particulate mixture having hydrophobic properties and a particle size of substantially below 0.2 mm, preferably below 0.1 mm, which mixture consists, in randomly uniform distribution, of at least one mineral hydrophilic component containing at least one salt, and of at least one component providing hydrophobic properties, the salt content in the particulate mixture being at least 50% by weight and the components being ground together or being mixed with one another after at least partially separate grinding. In order to allow utilisation of residual salts, in particular from the said type of glycerol manufacture, for producing a filler for top layers of road surfaces, i.e. especially in order to indicate an approach by means of which satisfactory hydrophobic properties of the particulate mixture can be achieved inexpensively, it is proposed that the salt used is a residual salt, especially a residual salt formed in glycerol manufacture and consisting essentially of sodium chloride, and that, relative to the proportion of residual salt, 0.5-45% by weight of a further salt or of an oxide or hydroxide (additive) is mixed in the moist state with at least a part of the residual salt and they are ground together, the additive containing alkaline earth metals or other non-alkaline metals as cations. |
