Zusammenfassung:	1480546 Spray-producers; coating apparatus SAINT-GOBAIN INDUSTRIES 7 July 1975 [10 July 1974] 28539/75 Headings B2F and B2L [Also in Division C1] Apparatus for spraying a solution onto sheet glass 1 (supported on conveyor 2) comprises a device 4 movable (e.g. on beam 3) across the glass surface in a direction transverse to the direction of motion of the sheet, and provided with valves 13 operable by a member sensitive to the position of the spray device 4 so as to reduce or stop the flow of the solution when the device 4 is adjacent a sheet edge, unsprayed solution being directed to return duct 12. The solution is supplied from openings 10 to tubes 7 in spray guns 6, while air is supplied from 11 to tubes 8, to form sprays from nozzles 9. When device 4 reaches an end of beam 3, levers 14 actuate 3-way valves 13, on contact with stop-plates 15, to divert solution to return duct 12, the supply of solution being restored when the device 4 moves towards the opposite edge. Waste gases (e.g. solvent vapour) may be removed through suction ducts 20.
