Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1449336 Silage cutters DE HAAN-MENTOR BV Gebr 13 Feb 1974 [2 March 1973 19 Nov 1973] 6460/74 Heading A4C A silage cutter comprises a knife 13 supported in a slide 10, which is slidable along, in use, horizontal guiding bars 6, 8 attached to bars 5 which extend forwardly from the top of a vertical carrier frame 1, said frame having at its base forwardly extending teeth 3 lying in a horizontal plane, and said knife being actuable by a driving cylinder 11 to move in a vertical plane. Bar 8 is hingedly attached to bar 6, which lies vertically above the teeth tips, and is provided with a latch 9 for locking on to a bar 4 at the top of frame 1; bar 8 is alignable with bar 6 on releasing said latch. Driving means may be provided for'moving the slide stepwise along bars 6, 8, locking means (17), Fig. 3, (not shown), being provided on the slide. The knife is connected to a guiding rod 14 having a brace 16 slidable along cylinder 11, said knife and cylinder being hingedly connected to the slide. An elongated annular pressing member 20, Fig. 4 having two braces 21 and lying in a horizontal plane, may be provided, said member being movable vertically by a cylinder 18 acting parallel to cylinder 11. The braces are each of inverted V-shape and are engaged by the knife, when said knife is completely retracted, to lift member 20. Cylinder 18 may be attached to cylinder 11 by clamping straps. Preferably, the cylinders are operated by the same pressure medium, cylinder 18 being singleacting and connected to the return side of cylinder 11, at least during the return stroke of the knife, through a control valve (22), Fig. 5, (not shown). Alternatively, the upper space of cylinder 18 may be connected directly to one end of cylinder 11. Pressing springs may be used instead of the cylinder 18 and a rigid rectangular guiding assembly having rounded corners may be provided instead of bars 6, 8. Also, the slide may be replaced by swivel arms. In addition, a second bar 8 may be hingedly connected to the other extremity of bar 6, or the first bar 8 may be detachably hinged so that it may be moved to the other end of bar 6.
