Zusammenfassung:	1,255,120. Treating polyamide granules. HAG A.G. 12 Aug., 1970 [5 May, 1970], No. 38912/70. Heading C3R. Granules G of polyamide P are treated with a solution containing #70% wt. HCOOH at 0-80 C. without completely dissolving G; the liquid phase L is then separated from the undissolved G. After treatment, the granules have improved absorbency, or have been reactivated. The solution S may be aqueous HCOOH. P may be polyamide 6, 6,6, 6,10 or 11, or copolyamide 6/6,6 or 6/6,6/6,10. Granules G may be 0-5--5 mm. Liquid phase L may be separated by decanting or filtering. After removal of L, the treated G may be further treated by hot water or steam and filtering or decanting to remove residual HCOOH. G may be treated with hot steam before the treatment with HCOOH.
