Zusammenfassung:1351065 Comminuting black powder WASAGCHEMIE GmbH 31 Aug 1972 [31 Aug 1971] 40403/72 Heading B2A Black powder (a form of gunpowder) is granulated to a preselected and specified size in a conical crusher. This comprises a crushing mechanism consisting of a conical, spirallytoothed rotor and a conical oppositely spirallytoothed stator, which is adjustable and includes an index or scale to indiacte gap width (and thus grain size). The stator includes a stop device to prevent contact with the rotor. The rotor is driven via a clutch (which slips on entry of tramp material) by a motor beneath the crushing mechanism. The motor is sealed, but continuously ventilated. The rotor and stator are made of materials which do not cause sparks when the mill is operating.
