METHOD FOR GRAVIMETRICALLY DOSING A LIQUID TO A PROCESS OR A RECIPE AND GRAVIMETRIC DOSING UNIT THEREFOR

The present invention relates to a method for graVimetrically dosing a liquid to a process or recipe, and a dosing unit capable of performing such method. The method comprises the steps of: - providing a gravimetric dosing unit, the unit comprising: - a buffer container with a buffer sensor, a buffer inlet and a buffer outlet; - a liquid supply to the process or recipe that is connected to the buffer outlet; - a refill container with a refill sensor, a container inlet and a container outlet, - a refill supply to the buffer container for refilling the buffer container, and - a controller that is operatively connected to the buffer container and the refill container, - in an operational state of the graVimetric dosing unit graVimetrically dosing the liquid from the buffer container based on the weight of the buffer container, and - in a refilling state of the graVimetric dosing unit graVimetrically dosing the liquid from the buffer container based on the weight of the buffer container and refill container, and refilling the buffer container from the refill container.
