Zusammenfassung:The device comprises an array (10) of band gap photosensors (40) separated by a distance less than the radiation wavelength, a number of periodic radiation-gathering structures connected to these photosensors, and a radiation reflecting surface which is offset with respect to the surface in which the photosensors are localized, over a distance less than the radiation wavelength. Radiation is captured by the combination of the radiation gathering structure and the reflective surface and directed towards the photosensors in order to generate a detection signal. Independent claims are also included for (a) a second radiation detection device comprising a periodic pattern of parallel, elongated photoconductive or photovoltaic band gap sensors separated from each other a distance less than the radiation wavelength, the pattern having a given radiation impedance, and further comprising a structure for supporting the sensors and adjusting the impedance to between the impedance of the sensors and the radiation impedance in free space, as well as comprising a means for electrically connecting the sensors in order to produce a detection signal when the device is exposed to radiation, and (b) a method for making the first device.
