Zusammenfassung: | The invention concerns an electromagnetically driven linear stage, specially designed for use in a cryogenic environment. Due to this approach, a fully contactless drive concept without any friction can be realized to create movement. Special attention has been made to cope with the differences in thermal expansion while cooling down to a few Kelv in. Also, dissipation has been minimized by keeping the electromagnetic coils in a temperature range of low resistance by cooling them and monitoring their resistance and temperature. An actively controlled element, which creates a friction-based locking between the moving table and the base frame, has been introduced as an option to cancel out any d issipation in the coils when the desired end position is reached. |
