| Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to an apparatus for the purification, in particular the desalination of a liquid, more specifically water, using a pressure pipe and spiral- wound membrane module. The pressure pipe comprises several parallel disposed spiral-wound membrane modules and its orientation is preferably vertical. The material of the pressure pipe is able to withstand a pressure of 3-80 bars and is glass-fibre reinforced plastic, stainless steel or Rilsan- coated steel and the diameters of the pressure pipe is 600- 2000 mm. The invention further relates to a method for the desalination of a liquid, preferably water, using the apparatus of the invention. The membranes can be cleaned by means of flushing with water and air. |
