Electric heating device for liquids, especially kettle, uses metal clamping part to fix heating element into position relative to casing

The heating element (3) is fixed into position using a metal clamping part (6) engaged with the opposite side of a protruding edge (5) of the device casing (2) to the seal (4) in between the element and casing. A heating device (1) for e.g. liquids comprises a casing, a plate-like heating element mounted in a casing wall section, and a flexible liquid-tight seal between the heating element periphery and part of the casing. The part of the casing in contact with the seal is formed by a protruding edge. A metal clamping part is engaged with the opposite side of the protruding edge to the seal, in order to fix the heating element into position.
