Zusammenfassung:	The ball valve has a chromium-plated sphere (4) with a chromium-plated channel (5) for the passage of fluid. Special measures are taken to seal the ball (4) against its housings (8, 9). V-section or U-section metal rings (11, 12), with an angle 45 degrees, have one leg (13, 14) spring loaded against the ball surface and the other (15, 16) butting against its respective half casing (8, 9). PTFE seals (17, 18) are placed between the rings and their half casings. A layer of graphite contributes to the springiness of the seal.
