Zusammenfassung:	1374407 Benzaldehyde - sulphonylhydrazones BAYEB AG 2 July 1973 [13 Feb 1973] 31422/73 Heading C2C Novel compounds of Formula I (in which R is C 1 -C 4 alkyl, C 1 -C 4 haloalkyl, or aryl which is optionally substituted by one or more of halogen, C 1 -C 4 alkyl, haloalkyl and nitro), are prepared by (a) reacting 3-amino- 2,4,6-trichloro-benzaldehyde with a sulphonic acid hydrazide of formula or (b) reacting 3-amino-2,4,6-trichloro-benzaldehyde-hydrazone with a sulphonic acid chloride of formula Cl-SO 2 -R. 3 - Amino - 2,4,6 - trichloro - benzaldehydehydrazone is prepared by reacting 3-amino- 2,4,6 - trichloro - benzaldehyde with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol in the presence of glacial acetic acid. Peaticidal compositions which are activeagainst leporine animals, rodents and insects, comprise a compound I together with a diluent or carrier.
