Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method of genetic mapping of a tenera selfed palm in order to find a marker linked to the shell gene. The said method utilizes both co� dominant RFLP, SSR & SNP and dominant AFLP markers. Accordingly, a dense genetic map sufficient for establishing linkage relationships between the mapped markers and the traits of interest (shell gene) is achieved. Figure 1
