Zusammenfassung:A system and method for activating temporary attended delivery/pickup locations is described. The system (110) receives a desired area for a temporary attended delivery/pickup location (612, 614, 616) (e.g., near a event). The system (110) then receives location information associated with one or more inactive temporary attended delivery/pickup locations. The system (110), in various embodiments, determines that at least one in;1ctive temporary attended delivery/pickup location (612, 614, 616) is in and/or near the desired area. The system (110) then, in a particular embodiment, notifies a user that the inactive temporary attended. delivery/pickup location (612, 614, 616) is in and/or near the desired area. In various embodiments, the system (110) receives a request to activate the temporary attended delivery/pickup location (612, 614, 616) and, at least partially in response to receiving the request, activates the at least one inactive temporary attended delivery/pickup location (612, 614,616).
