Zusammenfassung:A method to prepare a separator comprising the steps of dissolving a source of cellulose in a solvent to produce a slurry, wherein the source of cellulose is either cellulose pulp (CP) derived from empty fruit bunch (EFB) or nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) from EFB obtained from oil palm biomass, followed by electrospinning the slurry with an applied voltage ranging between 10 to 60 kV to produce nanofiber, thereafter drying the nanofiber at a temperature ranging between 60 to 80?C for a duration of 12 hours to produce a dried nanofiber and lastly cutting the dried nanofiber to form a separator.
