A SYSTEM FOR HOUSING A PASSIVE DOSIMETER

The present invention provides in one aspect, a system (500) for housing a passive dosimeter that is configured to allow the passive dosimeter to obtain measurements of a radiation dosage in an environment subject to a number of radiation types and intensities such as a space environment , particularly a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) environment, while protecting it from environmental stresses and potential hazards imposed by said space environment, the system (500) comprising a housing unit (400) including a containing member (200) having a cavity (250A, 250B, 250C, 250D, 250E, 250F, 250G, 250H, 250I) with an open end disposed towards a bottom side; and a securing member (100) for securing an assembly for housing the passive dosimeter (300) contained within the cavity (250A, 250B, 250C, 250D, 250E, 250F, 250G, 250H, 250I) of the containing member (200), to the housing unit (400).
