Zusammenfassung:A method for producing medium- or low-carbon ferromanganese is provided. The method improves a total yield of manganese by reducing both loss of manganese due to slag formation and evaporative loss of manganese. The method includes performing decarburization refining, the decarburization refining including charging molten high-carbon ferromanganese into a reaction vessel equipped with a top-blowing lance and bottom-blowing tuyeres, blowing an oxygen-containing gas through the top-blowing lance, and injecting an inert gas through the bottom-blowing tuyeres to decarburize the molten high-carbon ferromanganese. The method includes charging return slag into the reaction vessel before and/or during the decarburization refining of the molten high-carbon ferromanganese. The return slag is slag formed in previous decarburization refining of high-carbon ferromanganese. Figure 2
