The invention relates to an intrusion detection system (1) comprising: - mesh surfaces (2), each mesh surface (2) comprising cells (3) comprising a pattern that is a portion of continuous electrical circuit, - interconnection surfaces (4) comprising connectors (24) suitable for connecting cells (3) of the mesh surfaces (2) according to a first configuration for forming groups of electrically connected cells (3), the patterns forming a continuous electrical circuit of patterns, - a detection module (8) capable of detecting a modification of an impedance which is characteristic of each group of cells, the system (1) further comprising a module (6) for configuring interconnections of the connectors able to modify, over time, the first configuration to obtain at least one second configuration of the interconnection surface (4).
