According to one aspect, a method (1100) includes selecting (1110) a subset of beams corresponding to a plurality of orthogonal beams; obtaining (1120) power levels of the selected subset of beams for generating a first factor of the precoder and obtaining (1130) phases of the selected subset of beams for generating a second factor, wherein the first factor and the second factor are part of the parameters of the precoder.
