Zusammenfassung:	The present invention discloses a rail lubrication system (100) comprising a lubricant applicator (101) comprising a stick (102) and a housing (103) receiving the stick, a bracket (104) engaging the lubricant applicator (101) to a bolster assembly of a railway vehicle and a controller mounted to the railway vehicle for receiving and transmitting signals. The rail lubrication system (100) is characterized by a sensor operatively connected to the controller to detect a curved track to lubricate, a global positioning system (GPS) operatively connected to the controller to designate specific points in the track to lubricate and a motorized system (105) coupled to the lubricant applicator (101), whereby the motorized system (105) engages and dis- engages the lubricant applicator (101) to a surface of the railway vehicle to be lubricated upon receiving signal from the controller.
