Zusammenfassung:	Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a socket loading element (106, 506) and associated techniques and configurations. In one embodiment, an apparatus may include a loading element (106, 506) configured to transfer a compressive load from a heat spreader (112) to a socket assembly (102), wherein the loading element (106, 506) is configured to form a perimeter around a die (108) when the loading element (106, 506) is coupled with an interposer (104) disposed between the die (108) and the socket assembly (102) and wherein the loading element (106, 506) includes an opening (106a) configured to accommodate the die (108).
