Zusammenfassung: | An electronic control unit (ECU) (12) mounting structure for a motorcycle (10) having an ECU (12) and seat rails (40L, 40R) passing both sides of an under-seat utility box (44) is characterized in that: the utility box (44) includes a recess portion (52) inward of the seat rails (40L, 40R), and the ECU (12) resides inward of the seat rails (40L, 40R), between a given seat rail (40L, 40R) and the recess portion (52) of the utility box (44). The ECU (12) inwardly faces the utility box (44) recess portion (52). The seat rail (40L, 40R) overlaps portions of the ECU (12) from a side view. Other electric parts (26) are installable outside of the seat rail (40L, 40R), at positions overlapping portions of the ECU (12) from a side view. Spatial gaps (72) exist between the ECU (12) and a) the seat rail (40L, 40R), and b) the utility box (44) recess portion (52). The ECU (12) avoids overlapping the utility box (44) from a front view. The ECU (12) mounting structure eliminates the need for special ECU (12) protection covers, and keeps the motorcycle (10) body shape slim. (FIG. 2) |
