Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a method for extracting glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) from internal fractions processed from less utilised and unutilised parts of fishes. The method does not use enzymes to degrade proteins but involved the steps of macerating, blending, sonicating, and subjecting the internal fractions to a multiple centrifugation process to successfully extract GAGs from the internal fractions.
