A data collection device (11) collects check data from checking devices (33, 35) in a manufacturing line and writes the check data in a characteristic value table of a check DB recording section (63). The data collection device(11) includes a check file recording section (60) which obtains and records a check file including check data and a file name from the checking devices (33, 35), an additional information extracting section (50) for extracting additional information on the check data from the file name read from the check file recording section (60), a data changing section ( 51) which prepares characteristic value data by writing extracted additional information in check data in the check file in the check file recording section (60), and a data writing section (53) which writes characteristic value data from the data changing section (51) in a characteristic value table in the check DB recording section (63).
