A METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF REFUSE DERIVED (SOLID) FUEL
The present invention relates to the manufacture of a refuse derived (solid) fuel containing compressed industrial waste and biomass (in various permutations) with the end product containing less than 20 % (w/w) of moisture with a Gross Calorific Value (GCV) in the range of 2000 to 7000 kcal/kg, as...

Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to the manufacture of a refuse derived (solid) fuel containing compressed industrial waste and biomass (in various permutations) with the end product containing less than 20 % (w/w) of moisture with a Gross Calorific Value (GCV) in the range of 2000 to 7000 kcal/kg, as well as to a method of production thereof. Accordingly, the present invention provides a method of production of a refuse derived (solid) fuel (RDF), the method includes: a) base lining of raw industrial waste and raw biomass; b) obtaining weight ratio of waste I biomass to targeted Gross Calorific Value (GCV); c) drying the raw industrial and biomass waste; d) homogenizing the particle size of the raw industrial and biomass waste; e) mixing the raw industrial and biomass waste; f) extruding or pressing the raw industrial and biomass waste to shape and form the refuse derived fuel (RDF); characterized in that the incoming raw industrial waste and raw biomass is determined by a sampling plan; wherein the refuse derived fuel (RDF) includes industrial waste / biomass that contain less than 20 % (w/w) of moisture and in that it has the gross calorific value (GCV) in the range of 2000 to 7000 kcal/kg; wherein the Gross Calorific Value (GCV) of less than 2000 kcal/kg is obtained by weight ratio of the waste I biomass of 60% - 80%, Gross Calorific Value (GCV) of 2000 - 4000 kcal/kg is obtained by weight ratio of the waste I biomass of 40% to 60%, Gross Calorific Value (GCV) of 4000 - 6000 kcal/kg is obtained by weight ratio of the waste / biomass of 20% to 40%, or Gross Calorific Value (GCV) of more than 6000 kcal/kg is obtained by weight ratio of the waste / biomass of less than 20%; with the condition that biomass content is between 20% (minimum) and 60% (maximum); and wherein the raw industrial and biomass waste are dried to a total moisture content of less than or equal to 20%. |
