Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to low cost ceramic hollow fibre membrane (CHFM) for oily wastewater separation application. The ceramic hollow fibre membrane (CHFM) which is fabricated via phase inversion-based extrusion and sintering technique comprises hydrated aluminum silicate (kaolin) as ceramic material; N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone (NMP) as a solvent; polyethylene glycol (30) dipolyhydroxystearate as a dispersant; and poly (ethylene sulphide) (PESf) as polymer binder. The presence of asymmetric structure of finger-like voids and sponge-like layer in the inner and outer surface of the low cost ceramic hollow fibre membrane (CHFM) may offer great advantages in term of its usage efficiency as compared to tubular or disc shape ceramic membrane in oily water separation application. |
