RECLINER AND LEGREST MECHANISM FOR A FURNITURE MEMBER

A furniture member (10, 210) may include a stationary base frame (12, 212), a seatback frame (16, 216), a seat bottom frame (18, 218) and a linkage (20, 220). The seatback frame (16, 216) is supported by the base frame (12, 212) and is pivotable relative to the base frame (12, 212). The seat bottom frame (18, 218) maybe supported by the base frame (12, 212) and may be movable relative to the seatback frame (16, 216) and the base frame (12, 212). The linkage (20, 220) is attached to the base frame (12, 212), the seatback frame (16, 216), the seat bottom frame (18, 218) and a legrest platform (24, 224). The linkage (20, 220) is movable between first and second positions. Movement of the linkage (20, 220) toward the first position causes the seatback frame (16, 216) to move toward a fully upright position and simultaneously causes the legrest platform (24, 224) to move toward a stowed position. Movement of the linkage (20, 220) toward the second position causes the seatback frame (16, 216) to move toward a fully reclined position and simultaneously causes the legrest platform (24, 224) to move toward a fully extended position.
