ABSORBENT ARTICLE

The present invention provides an absorbent article which, while exhibiting excellent absorption performance, exhibits excellent comfort when worn, even when the wearer moves. This absorbent article includes a surface sheet (2) comprising a non-woven fabric, and has, in a planar view, a central area (ALC) in the longitudinal direction, a first area (AL1) in the longitudinal direction, and a second area (AL2) in the longitudinal direction. In the surface sheet (2), the amount of fluffing of the fibres which form the non-woven fabric in the central area (ALC) in the longitudinal direction is greater than the amount of fluffing of the fibres in areas at end portions in the longitudinal direction which comprise the first area (AL1) and the second area (AL2) in the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the surface sheet (2) is provided with a specific uneven structure (20) having, alternately arranged therein, protrusions (21) which continuously extend in the width direction of the absorbent article, and recesses (22) which continuously extend in parallel with the protrusions (21).
