Zusammenfassung:An overhead apparatus for detecting an attempt of a cable theft is disclosed. The apparatus includes a characteristic sensor (304) that generates an electrical pulse in response to change in characteristics of the cable, and a transmitter (314) that sends a status signal to a server (318) in response to the electrical pulse using a wireless network (316). The characteristic sensor (304) is a vibration sensor that detects a vibration of the cable. Most illustrative Diagram: Figure 3
