Zusammenfassung:	A process (100) of preparing cellulose nanofibrils is provided. The process comprising the steps of providing (102) a hemicellulose containing pulp obtained from a hardwood waste, grinding (104) the hemicellulose containing pulp to form a powder, air-drying (106) the powder, dewaxing (108) the air-dried powder to produce a lipid-free pulp, delignifying (110) the lipid-free pulp, bleaching (112) the delignified lipid-free pulp in two mediums comprising acidic medium and alkali medium, milling (114) the bleached delignified lipid-free pulp and sonicating (116) the bleached delignified lipid-free pulp to produce the cellulose nanofibrils. Further, said step of air-drying (106) further comprises a step of milling said air-dried powder for 12 hours.
