Zusammenfassung:The present invention provides the use of an aqueous extract of Andrographis paniculata containing as main components andrographolide, neoandrographolide and 14-deoxy-11,12-didehydroandrographolide. The invention also provides a method of production of said extract comprising the steps of drying the leaves of Andrographis paniculata and extracting the dried leaves with water at a temperature of at least 50?C. The aqueous extract of Andrographis paniculata is suitable for use as cognition enhancing agent having anti-neuroinflammatory and anti-oxidative effects.
