ABSORBENT ARTICLE

An absorbent article (1) that includes a lengthwise direction, a lateral direction and a thickness direction that are orthogonal to one another, the absorbent article including: a first waist part (1a), a crotch part (1m) and a second waist part (1b), which are arranged in this order in the lengthwise direction; and fastening tapes (11) that are respectively fixed to each of end portions of the second waist part (1b) in the lateral direction, the absorbent article being able to be used as a tape-type disposable diaper by fastening the fastening tapes respectively to the first waist part (1a) to form a waist opening (1HB) and a pair of leg-surrounding openings (1HL). Cut-off lines (1c) are formed in an unfolded state of the absorbent article (1), the cut-off lines (1c) are each used for cutting off at least a protruded portion of each of the fastening tapes (11), and the protruded portion protrudes outward of the second waist part (1b) in the lateral direction. The absorbent article is able to be used as an absorbent pad without the protruded portion by cutting off the protruded portion at each of the cut-off lines (1c).
