A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL FROM AVIAN FEATHERS

The present invention relates to a method for producing a composite material from avian feathers (100) comprising the steps of obtaining avian feathers (1); then, washing the avian (2); then, draining (3); then, rinsing the avian feathers (4) and partially drying the avian feathers (5); then, repeating the rinsing (6) and partially drying of the avian feathers (7); then, drying the avian feathers (8); then, storing the avian feathers in the presence of a drying agent (10); then, preparing an epoxy resin by mixing base epoxy with hardener (11); then, mixing the epoxy resin with the avian feathers (12); then, compressing the mixture of avian feathers and epoxy resin (13); then, curing the mixture of avian feathers and epoxy resin at approximately 70 ?C (14); and then, post curing the mixture of avian feathers and epoxy resin at ambient (15) to produce a composite board (16); characterized in that the avian feathers are pulverized (9) after the drying step (8).
