Zusammenfassung: | A Container With A Locking Mechanism The present invention discloses a container (100) comprising a receptacle (102) having an outlet opening with two apertures (111) respectively mounted on each side of the outlet opening; a lid (101) constructed to be attached to the outlet opening of the receptacle (102); and a locking mechanism (103) for securing the lid (101) to the outlet opening of the receptacle (102), having a joining member (104), a handle (105), a first rod (106) and a second rod (107); wherein the locking mechanism (103) is extendable in its length by rotating the handle (105) such that the joining member (104) is rotated towards a parallel position with respect to the first rod (106) and the second rod (107) while the first rod (106) and the second rod (107) are respectively rotated to be pushed outwards to extend the length of the locking mechanism (103); the locking mechanism (103) is retractable in its length by rotating the handle (105) such that the joining member (104) is rotated towards a perpendicular position with respect to the first rod (106) and the second rod (107) while the first rod (106) and the second rod (107) are respectively rotated to be pushed inwards, shortening the length of the locking mechanism (103); characterized in that the locking mechanism (103) secures the lid (101) to the receptacle (102) by adjusting the locking mechanism (103) to a length longer than the distance of the two apertures (111) for the first rod (106) and the second rod (107) to respectively engage into the two apertures (111) whereas the locking mechanism (103) unlocks the lid (101) from the receptacle (102) by adjusting the locking mechanism (103) to a length shorter than the distance of the two apertures (111) for the first rod (106) and the second rod (107) to respectively disengage from the two apertures (111).
