THE PRESENT INVENTION EMPLOYS A DUAL POLARIZED MICRO-STRIP ARRAY ANTENNA FOR THE DESIGN OF A HIGH EFFICIENCY SPACE-TIME CODE. IT MAKES USE OF THE ORTHOGONAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE RECEIVE ANTENNAE TO DESIGN A SPACE-TIME CODE WHICH IS OFFERING A HIGH DIVERSITY GAIN EVEN IN THE ABSENCE OF LOCAL SCATTERS. THE SYSTEM INCLUDES A SIGNAL RECEIVING MEANS THAT INCORPORATES SAID SPACE-TIME CODE AND SAID ANTENNAE TO RECEIVE THE SIGNALS FROM THE SATELLITE SYSTEM. SUCH AN ANTENNA ARRAY AND THE SPACE TIME CODE HAVE BEEN ANALYZED AND HAVE FOUND TO OUTPERFORM THE SYSTEMS OF PRIOR ART. WHEN COMPARED TO THE PRIOR ART SYSTEMS FOR RECEIVING SATELLITE SIGNALS, THE SYSTEM BASED ON PRESENT INVENTION OFFERS A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN RECEIVER PERFORMANCE. |
