Zusammenfassung:	UV curable coating compositions and methods for applying such compositions to surfaces to provide abrasion resistance and/or structural rigidity thereto. The UV curable compositions of the present invention include at least one curable (meth)acrylate, at least one photoinitiator which absorbs only in the UV range of the electromagnetic spectrum, and an inorganic filler, at least a portion of which having a particle size in the range of 1 to 1,000 nm. The compositions may further comprise a reactive diluent. Composiciones para recubrimiento curables con rayos UV y metodos para aplicar tales composiciones a superficies, para proporcionarles resistencia a la abrasion y/o rigidez estructural. Las composiciones curables con rayos UV de la presente invencion incluyen al menos un (met)acrilato curable, al menos un fotoiniciador que se absorbe solamente en el rango UV del espectro electromagnetico, y un rellenador inorganico, al menos una parte del cual tiene un tamano de particula en el rango desde 1 hasta 1,000 nm.
