Zusammenfassung:A gas compressor unit according to the invention includes a single gas desiccant bed and condenser (which is inactive during the compression stage) inserted into the gas flow path of the compression cycle. In the case of a multi -stage compressor, the single gas desiccant bed is inserted between preferably the first and second stages. Moisture absorbed into this bed is periodically removed by exposing the bed to a regeneration cycle. The regeneration cycle employed is based on the closed re-circulation of gas present in the compressor and the desiccant bed itself, as well as other gas present in the re-circulation loop when the unit suspends delivery of compressed gas. Moisture removed from the desiccant bed is condensed and preferably evaporated into the environment through a semipermeable membrane. The motor and motor controller are located with the compressor in a common casing to minimize electromagnetic emissions. -. Una unidad de compresor de gas de acuerdo con la invencion incluye un lecho y condensador disecante de gas sencillo (el cual es inactivo durante la etapa de compresion) insertado en la trayectoria de flujo de gas del ciclo de compresion. En el caso de un compresor multi-etapa, el lecho disecante de gas sencillo se inserta entre preferiblemente la primera y segunda etapas. La humedad absorbida en este lecho se elimina periodicamente exponiendo el lecho a un ciclo de regeneracion. El ciclo de regeneracion empleado se basa en la recirculacion cerrada del gas presente en el compresor y el lecho disecante por si mismo, asi como otro gas presente en el circulo de recirculacion cuando la unidad suspende el suministro de gas comprimido. La humedad eliminada del lecho disecante se condensa y preferiblemente se evapora en el ambiente a traves de una membrana semipermeable. El motor y el controlador motriz se ubican con el compresor en un revestimiento comun para disminuir las emisiones electromagneticas.
