Zusammenfassung:	A method for disrupting cells and/or tissues employs a disrupter with a disruption element having an outer dimension that is slightly smaller than the inside dimension of a container in which a sample is place to be disrupted. Devices for disrupting cells and/or tissues are also presented. The device and methods are used in processes such as the extraction of nucleic acids. Un metodo para romper celulas y/o tejidos emplea un disruptor con un elemento disruptor que tiene una dimension externa que es ligeramente menor a la dimension interna de un contenedor en donde se coloca la muestra a romperse; tambien se presentan dispositivos para romper celulas y/o tejidos; el dispositivo y metodos se utilizan en procedimientos tales como extraccion de acidos nucleicos.
