Zusammenfassung: | An apparatus and method for use with a railroad dragging equipment detectin g (DED) system (102) that detects objects hanging from and dragged beneath a train as the train travels along rails (108) of a railroad track (109). A generator (202) supplies a first signal and is coupled to a magnetic amplifier coil (132) to form a magnetically variable impedance circuit (200). The magnetic amplifier coil (132) is responsive to the first signal to create a circuit impedance in series with a detection circuit (210). A magnet (205) is mechanically connected to the cam/follower system (208) and is positioned near the magnetic amplifier core (206) for varying a circuit impedance of the detection circuit (210). A detection circuit (210) generates a second signal as a function of variations in circuit impedance. A controller (206) is responsiv e to the second signal for activating an alarm (128) when the magnet (205) moves relative to the magnetic amplifier coil (132).
Un aparato y metodo para usarse con un sistema (102) de deteccion de equipo de arrastre ferroviario (DED), el cual detecta objetos que cuelgan y se arrastran por debajo de un carro ferroviario mientras el carro ferroviario viaja a lo largo de los rieles (108) de una pista (109) ferroviaria. Un generador (202) suministra una primera senal y se acopla con una bobina (132) amplificadora magnetica y responde a la primera senal para crear una impedancia de circuito en serie con un circuito (210) de deteccion. Un iman (205) se conecta en forma mecanica con el sistema de leva/seguidor (208) y se coloca cerca del nucleo (206) amplificador magnetico para variara la impedancia del circuito del circuito (210) de deteccion. Un circuito (210) de deteccion genera una segunda senal como una funcion de variaciones en la impedancia de circuito. Un controlador (206) responde a una segunda senal para activar una alarma (128) cuando el iman 8205) se mueve con relacion a la bobina (132) amplificadora magnetica. |
