Zusammenfassung:	A new process for recovery of Low Sodium Salt from bittern has been described in the present invention, the said process comprising desulphatation of bittern (by-product of salt industry), evaporation of bittern in solar pans and processing of solid mixture with water to produce a mixture of sodium and potassium chlorides and optionally preparing "free flowing" and iodized, by known techniques. Se ha descrito un procedimiento novedoso para la recuperacion de sal baja en sodio a partir del agua madre en la presente invencion, dicho procedimiento comprendiendo la desulfatacion del agua madre (producto secundario de la industria de la sal), la evaporacion del agua madre en bandejas solares y el procesamiento de la mezcla solida con agua para producir una mezcla de cloruros de sodio y potasio y opcionalmente hacerla "de flujo libre" y yodurada, a traves de tecnicas conocidas.
