The process is particularly suitable for destabilizing and purifying styrene which has been stabilized with 4-tert-butylcatechol (TBC) for transportation. Un proceso para la destilacion de monomeros vinilaromaticos en presencia de 4-ter-butilcatecol (TBC) y oxigeno, en donde ningun compuesto nitro aromatico o amino esta presente en ninguna cantidad efectiva. El proceso es particularmente adecuado para desestabilizar y purificar estireno el cual ha sido estabilizado con 4-ter-butilcatecol (TBC) para la transportacion.
