Zusammenfassung:	A nonwoven, fibrous substrate is described for use in a cleaning article such as a wet wipe. The substrate has a toughness of less than 0.6 Nm, and comprises a proportion of long fibres, typically at least 2 or 3 cm in length, which are capable of protruding from the surface of the substrate as a result of rubbing which takes place when the substrate is used for cleaning, whilst remaining attached to the substrate. The substrate is preferably made by hydroentangling using low power jets of water. Se describe un substrato fibroso para usarse en un artículo de limpieza tal como una toalla humeda. El substrato tiene una tenacidad de menos de 0.6 Nm, y comprende una proporcion de fibras largas, típicamente por lo menos 2 o 3 cm en longitud, las cuales son capaces de salir de la superficie del substrato como resultado del frotamiento, el cual se presenta cuando el substrato es usado para limpiar, mientras permanecen unidas al substrato. El substrato de preferencia se hace a través de hidroenmarañamiento, usando chorros de agua a baja energía.
