Zusammenfassung:	An emulsified composition containing 1,4-bis(bromoacetoxy)-2-butene (BBAB) is disclosed which has the ability to disperse and/or dissolve uniformly in aqueous systems thereby effectively controlling the growth of microorganisms. The composition contains BBAB and a nonionic emulsifier. A method for inhibiting the growth of microorganisms with this composition in an amount effective to control the growth of microorganisms is also disclosed. Se describe una composicion emulsificada que contiene 1-4-bis (bromoacetoxi)-2-buteno (BBAB), la cual tiene la capacidad de dispersarse y/o disolverse uniformemente en sistemas acuosos, controlando así efectivamente el desarrolo de microorganismo. La composicion contiene BBAB y un emulsificante no ionico. También se describe un método para inhibir el desarrollo de microorganismos con esta composicion en una contidad efectiva para controlar el desarrollo de microorganismos.
