Zusammenfassung:The invention refers to Actinomicetes acarviosyl-transferase, mainly from Actinoplanetes species SE 50/110 and their mutants, to a procedure for isolation, purification, and characterization of enzyme, for isolation and characterization of gene acbD which codifies acarviosyl-transferase, to acarviosyl-transferase expression in a heterologous host, to use of acarviosyl-transferase for transformation of acarbose in acarbose derived components, or else for acarbose homologues production, to acarviosyl-transferase use in acarbose purification, as well as productive mutants obtainment with derived components formation reduced by acarviosyl-transferase gene inactivation. La invencion se refiere a la acarviosil-transferasa de Actinomicetes, pricipalmente de especies Actinoplanetes SE 50/110 y sus mutantes, a un procedimiento para el aislamiento, purificacion y caracterizacion de la enzima, para el aislamiento y caracterizacion del gen acbD que codifica la acarviosil-transferasa, a la expresion de la acarviosil-transferasa en un organismo hospedador heterologo, al uso de la acarviosil-transferasa para la transformacion de componentes derivados de acarbosa en acarbosa o bien para la produccion de homologos de la acarbosa, al uso de la acarviosil-transferasa en la purificacion de acarbosa, así como la obtencion de mutantes productivos con formacion de componentes derivados reducida mediante inactivacion del gen de la acarviosil-transferasa.
