Zusammenfassung:Zeolite catalysts useful for the production of phenol and its derivatives by oxidative hydroxylation of benzene and its derivatives by nitrous oxide, e.g. at temperatures of 225-450 degree C, having substantially enhanced process characteristics resulting from hydrothermal treatment using a gas containing from about 3 to 100 mole percent water vapor, e.g. in nitrogen, at a temperature ranging from about 500 to 1000 degree C. Two hours of hydrothermal treatment has been shown to be effective. Se describen catalizadores de zeolita utiles para la produccion de fenol y de sus derivados mediante la hidroxilacion oxidante de benceno y sus derivados mediante oxido nitroso, v.gr., a temperaturas de 225-450.C, teniendo características de procedimiento substancialmente mejoradas que resultan del tratamiento hidrotérmico, utilizando un gas que contiene de aproximadamente 3 a 100% molar de vapor de agua, v.gr, a una temperatura que varia de aproximadamente 500 a 1000 degree C. Dos horas de tratamiento hidrotérmico han mostrado ser efectivas.
