The resulted polyurethane foams display more evenly-distributed flame retardant properties. Se describen dispersiones de melamina-poliol que comprenden alcoholes etoxilados de estructuras específicas. Tales dispersiones mantienen su estabilidad bajo condiciones estacionarias durante por lo menos 24 horas y son útiles en la fabricación de espumas de poliuretano. Las espumas de poliuretano resultantes exhiben propiedades retardantes de llama más uniformemente distribuidas.
