Said compositions result to be safe according to the Guide established by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD by its acronym in English). La presente invención es refiere al uso de la planta Taxus globosa para la obtención de un extracto metanólico el cual es útil para el tratamiento de la ansiedad. A partir de este extracto se puede obtener composiciones farmacéuticas adaptadas para una administración parenteral u oral. Estas composiciones resultan ser seguras de acuerdo a la Guía establecida por la Organización para la Cooperación Económica y el Desarrollo (OCDE).
