Zusammenfassung:The present invention refers to an electrocoagulation system for removing organic and inorganic matter and further particles suspended during the treatment of industrial wastewater by means of the coagulant generation in situ. The electrocoagulation system comprises an electrocoagulation cell, a current rectifier, a clarifier, a sludge tank, a supplying pump, a sludge pump, a pump for the clarified elements, a plate filter, a sand filter and a couple of activated carbons for purifying the treated water. The present invention provides an electrocoagulation cell integral with an electrode module, which reduces the number of elements, thus resulting in an easy construction and maintenance equipment. The operation of the cell uses a water flow that is parallel the electrodes, thereby reducing the incrustations therein and maintaining the cell efficiency. The clarifier contains a flocculation chamber, a chamber for removing foam, a sedimentation chamber and an other chamber for the clarifi ed elements, which use the characteristics of the cells for promoting the flocculation of the organic matter without using chemical reactants. The electrocoagulation system is useful for recirculating the sludges from the conditioning tank in order to reduce the consumption of coagulant generated in situ and using the coagulant present in the sludges, thus reducing the power demand of the cell, the system also treating the water for regenerating the filters so as to reduce the system purges that causes waste of water.
